Coffee Maker - Just Relax With Your Cup

Coffee makers are machines that make coffee. Some of the best coffee makers can be found in cafes, but you can also purchase many good coffee makers for your home. There are different types of coffee makers, including filter machines, French press coffee makers and espresso makers.
Coffee makers can be quite expensive, depending on the type of coffee machine your buy, but discount coffee makers can be found in warehouse outlets, eBay and other online stores.

Types of Coffee Makers and How They Work

The way that coffee makers work depends on the type of coffee maker you buy. Different machines work in different ways. Here are some of the most popular types of coffee makers, with an explanation of how each one works.
Filter Machines
Filter machines are a type of coffee maker that uses a filer. Ground coffee is placed in a filter and hot water is poured on top. The coffee then drips into a container below the coffee. Filter machines do most of the work and many of them are very inexpensive.
French Press Machines
A French press machine requires more work from the person making the coffee. The coffee grounds are placed in a container. Boiling water is poured on top. The mixture is then stirred and left to steep. A plunger is pushed down so that the coffee grounds go to the bottom and the coffee is left on top.
Steam Espresso Coffee Maker
A steam espresso coffee maker uses steam to create an espresso cup of coffee. The steam forces water through the coffee grounds. These machines can be quite inexpensive but are not considered to make a very good type of coffee.
Pump Method Espresso
Pump method espresso coffee makers pumps water into a tank to build up pressure to force water through coffee grounds. Some of the best pump method espresso makers will have pressure and temperature gauges. These machines usually cost more than steam espresso coffee makers, but they do make a better cup of coffee.
Piston-Style Method Espresso Coffee Maker
A piston-style method espresso coffee maker is one of the best coffee makers, but they are expensive. The person making the coffee pulls a lever that is connected to a spring-loaded piston. Pulling this lever creates enough force to store up pressure which forces the water through the coffee grounds.
